With over 30 years of combined experience in the field, they have established themselves as a trusted name in the industry.
After facing disappointment with a company located in another country that had failed to progress beyond the design phase for over a year, Football Careers sought a local partner with a deep understanding of the recruitment market. Having previously collaborated with MBN Solutions and First People Solutions in Glasgow, Hybrid Anchor possessed the relevant industry knowledge to bring this new website project to fruition.
Understanding The Challenge
Football Careers' offering, like many of Hybrid Anchor's clients, goes beyond the standard recruitment services. While users can engage with their services to source and apply for positions in the football industry, the platform also allows teams to advertise roles for their engaged membership to apply for. This unique approach, combined with the fact that Football Careers operates as a platform-as-a-service, presented a significant challenge for the development process. Users can sign up for an account, receive alerts, build a CV by answering questions, and engage in various aspects of the platform. Furthermore, migrating over 60,000 users while retaining their settings, data, and payment history added complexity to the project.
Modern Design & Brand Cohesion
A website's look and feel are just as important as its functionality. While having streamlined processes, a seamless sign-up experience, and self-checkout features are crucial, a strong design ensures that the brand resonates with prospective customers.
Hybrid Anchor collaborated with Football Careers' owners and marketing team to create a stunning and fresh design that complemented their existing branding. This approach, known as Brand Cohesion, resulted in a purpose-built website that aligned perfectly with their brand identity.
Subscription-Based Recruitment Portal
While Hybrid Anchor has extensive experience in software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, applying it to the recruitment industry was a new endeavor. Football Careers checked many of the boxes for Hybrid Anchor when they initially partnered with them. The project spanned multiple sectors in which Hybrid Anchor specialises, but it also presented a significant level of complexity. Not many agencies in Scotland would have been capable of handling this type of work, considering the volume of migration and the complexities involved. Migrating between two systems is one thing, but when system going from multiple into a system not yet developed, it becomes a challenging yet exciting task to tackle.
Dynamic CV Builder
Football Careers offers a dynamic CV builder as part of their service, allowing users to input their profile information and choose from two designs. This triggers the generation of a smart PDF CV that users can utilise to start applying for roles. The dynamic CV builder adds a valuable and personalised touch to their offering.
Large-Scale Data Migration
Transferring data from the legacy website to the newly built platform required migrating multiple payment gateways, user accounts, and CV data. Hybrid Anchor meticulously planned out the migration process, ensuring a seamless transition for users. Data points were mapped to guarantee a cohesive experience, allowing users to retain their access levels and pricing from the old system. As part of this data migration effort, over 60,000 accounts were successfully moved to the new platform, making it the second-largest migration project the team has undertaken.
Fully responsive experience
With the increasing prevalence of mobile phones and tablets, more than 80% of online users now access websites and systems via these devices. Keeping this shift in mind, the Football Careers website was designed and rigorously tested to ensure a seamless experience across all devices. This fully responsive design guarantees a consistent and engaging user experience, regardless of the device being used.
